Philippians 4: 6,7: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Paul exhorts the Philippians to pray about their circumstances instead of worrying over them. He prohibits the Philippians from worrying about their own problems. Instead we are to commit our problems to God in prayer, trusting that He will provide deliverance. The peace of God protects the mind from external corrupting influences and keeps us focused on God’s truth.
