I MUST PROVIDE – “I am your Lord.  Enough.  Then I can command
your obedient service, your loyalty.  But I am bound by My Lordship
to give you protection.  I am bound to fight for you, to plan for you, to
secure you a sufficiency of all within My Power to provide.  Think how
vast that provision can be.  Never doubt.  Such marvels are unfolding.
Wonders beyond your dreams.  They only need the watering of a
grateful spirit and a loving heart to yield abundantly.”

Today is the love of my life’s 60th Birthday and this scripture
is in her honor – I adore you Caroline.
Ephesians 5:28: “So husbands ought to love their own wives
as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself.”
HAPPY BIRTHDAY My Moon and Stars!!!

Jesus is speaking on His Beatitude discourse in Luke 6:43-45: “For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”  Simply put: Actions, not words, indicate where one’s heart is.

SUFFER TO SAVE – “Take each day’s happenings as work you can do for Me. In that Spirit a blessing will attend all you do. Offering your day’s service thus to Me, you are sharing in My Life-work, and therefore helping Me to save My world. You may never see it, but the power of vicarious sacrifice is redemptive beyond man’s power of understanding here on Earth.”

Psalm 9:1,2: “I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.” Real praise is not half-hearted, it involves one’s whole being. The words of these two verses are characteristic of the praise of God in the Psalms. He is to be praised for His works and His name. His name represents who He is; His works stand for all He does. Most High is a designation for the Lord, especially as He rules the nations. Praise God in your life this weekend and receive the Joy and Peace He brings.

EFFORT AND REST – “Come to Me, talk to Me, dwell with Me,
and then you will know My way is a sure way. My Paths are
safe paths. Come very near to Me. Dig deep down into the
soil of the Kingdom. Effort and rest – a union of the two.”
Happy Thanksgiving one and all. Fun fact: The holiday originated
as a meal between the pilgrims and the native Wampanoag tribe
during the harvest celebration. Yes, roasted wild turkey was on the
menu, but it was likely stuffed with onions, herbs and nuts, instead
of a bread-based filling. Duck and goose meat were popular in that
area in the 17th century and would have also been on the menu. There
was probably quite a bit of seafood in the menu back then. The meal
likely had lobster, clams and mussels to go along with deer meat.

Galatians 5:15, 16: “But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another! I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” When Christians follow their sinful desires, we begin to criticize and contend with one another. Such self-centered behavior is self-defeating. Those who criticize and attack usually end up being consumed in worthless struggles. The only consistent way to overcome the sinful desires of our human nature (the flesh) is to live step-by-step in the power of the Holy Spirit as He works through our spirit. Walking each moment by faith in God’s word under the Spirit’s control assures absolute victory over the desires of our sinful nature.
