Psalm 117: “Praise the LORD, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all
you peoples! For His merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD!” Laud which means “to speak well of” nicely parallels the term praise, which means “to be excitedly boastful about.” The Hebrew word for Gentiles means all people except Jews; the word for peoples speaks of smaller groups of people, along ethnic and language lines. Merciful kindness, or “loyal love,” refers to God’s faithfulness to His covenant promises to His people. The reason the nations are to give praise to God is found in His relationship with Israel. Praise the LORD: the concluding
Hallelujah is an appropriate shout of triumph in God’s mercy. Looks like it’s T.G.I.F. !!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy your weekend brothers and sisters, be safe and we’ll worship together on Monday.

God Calling

SERVE ALL – I am among you as one that serveth. “Yes! remember to serve all. Be ready to prove your Sonship by service. Look on all you meet as guests in your Father’s House, to be treated with Love, with all consideration, with gentleness. As a servant of all think no work beneath you. Be ever ready to do all you can for others. Serve. Serve. Serve. There is a gladness in service, a Joy in doing My Will for others, in being My expression of all good for them. Remember that, when you serve others, you are acting for your Master and Lord who washed His disciples’ feet. So, in service for others, express your Love for Me.”

Isaiah 48:17 – “Thus says the LORD , your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel:
‘I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit.  Who leads you by the way you should go.”‘ The Lord teaches and leads through His servants, His prophets, and His Son. Read, study, contemplate the bible daily.  All our answers are within if we allow The Holy Spirit to work in our lives.

JOY – TRIBUTE Jesus, our Lord, we Thee adore.  “Sing unto Me from a glad heart.  Sing and praise My Holy Name.  Praise is man’s joy-tribute to Me, and as you praise, thrills of Joy surge through your being, and you learn something of the Joy of the Heavenly Host.”

James 4:7 – “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will
flee from you.” We must follow in order the two commands in this verse. First we must submit to God by abandoning our selfish pride. Submitting to the Lord also involves putting on the whole armor of God, an image that includes everything from placing our faith in Him to immersing ourselves in the truth of God’s Word. Second, we must resist any temptation that the devil throws our way. Then the Evil One will have no choice but to flee, for we will belong to the army of the living God.

2 Timothy 1:13, 14: “Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.” “Hold fast” is a command to Timothy to persist in the sound words of healthy teaching. Many who say they speak for Christ proclaim false doctrine. Like Timothy, we need to pursue sound teaching and avoid all teaching that does not conform to the Scriptures, no matter how good certain teachers might sound or how large their following might be. “Keep” means to guard or to protect. “Who dwells in us” describes the indwelling of the Holy spirit in believers. Have a SUPER weekend brothers and sisters. Keep the Lord in your hearts and souls.

Psalm 140: 1-4: “Deliver me, O LORD, from evil men; preserve me from violent men, who plan evil things in their hearts; they continually gather together for war. They sharpen their tongues like a serpent; the poison of asps is under their lips. Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from violent men, who have purposed to make my steps stumble.” David cries out to the Lord for deliverance from the wicked, who continually harm the innocent. The word violent describes people who are harsh and ruthless, who plan the destruction of the righteous. It could be in your personal life – it could be in your professional life. They are purposefully evil and will be satisfied only if they can participate in the destruction of God’s people. But God is always ready to deliver His precious ones from their grasp.
