Philippians 4:8 – “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever thins are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if thee is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things.” Noble describes that which is of honorable character. Pure – this word is closely associated with the Greek word for holy or sacred. Paul suggests we as Christians to deliberate or evaluate, to compute over and over what is good and pure. In this way Christians can renew our minds so that they will not conform to the evil habits of this world. Good advice and T.G.I.F. everybody!!!! Have a marvelous weekend brothers and sisters.

Jude 24, 25: “Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.”
Stumbling refers to the possibility of being mislead by false teachers. Jude uses the word “stumbling” not falling – indicating that a person who is already walking or running (meaning someone already in the faith) can stumble. God is able to keep us from stumbling. He guards us in this life, despite all the dangers and pitfalls that deceivers put in our way. Only God can save us, cleanse us from our sins, and present us to Himself as faultless, for God is the Author and Perfecter of our faith.

Psalm 5: 1-3: “Give ear to My words, O LORD, consider my meditation. Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and my God. My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD, in the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up.” In this verse the psalmist calls on the Lord to listen, even though the Lord has been continually listening and caring. Focus on prayer in the morning, is a commendable habit that helps a person to dedicate all the activities of the day to the glory of God.

1 Thessalonians 5: 23, 24 – “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.” Paul’s prayer is that we may be sanctified in all aspects of our lives; spirit, soul and body. Every part of a Christian’s life should bear evidence that he or she is set apart as holy to God. Christians are already saints in the sense that we have been set apart to God. Blameless does not mean free from sin, but free from causes for reproach or regret.

Ecclesiastes 5:4,5 – “When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it. For He has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you have vowed – better not to vow than to vow and not pay.” One should not attempt to bribe God with a hasty vow.

Proverbs 3:11,12: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, nor detest His correction; for whom the LORD loves He corrects, just as a father the son in whom he delights.” The discipline of the LORD is the other side of His grace. We should cherish God’s correction in our lives, because God disciplines only those He loves. Have a safe and blessed weekend brothers and sisters!

Psalm 24: 1,2 – “The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the waters.” The psalmist praises God as Sovereign over all He has created. God’s rule extends to all people, even those who do not acknowledge His power.
