Psalm 9: 1,2 – “I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.” Real praise is not half-hearted; it involves one’s whole being. The words of these two verses are characteristic of the praise of God in the Psalms. He is to be praised for His works and His name. His name represents who He is; His works stand for all He does. Most High is a designation for the Lord, especially as He rules the nations.
