Philippians 4:6,7: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Instead of worrying about our problems, the apostle Paul encourages us to commit our problems to God in prayer, trusting that He will provide deliverance. Paul’s choice of words “guard” implies that the mind is a battle zone and needs to be “protected” by military guard. The peace of God operates in the same way: to protect our minds from external corrupting influences and to keep it focused on God’s truth. Enjoy your weekend brothers and sisters and may the Father in heaven protect you from the wiles of Satan and his demons.
