Jesus is talking with His disciples in John 12:47, 48 – “And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him – the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.” We know that Christ will judge, but at His first coming, He did not come to judge but to save. Thanks to Brian Miller for this great rainbow pix.

Psalm 62:7 – “In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.” I hope you feel the same, King David trusted the LORD and knew God gives strength to those who ask.

Colossians 3:16, 17 – “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching, and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” In the ancient days the Psalms was the congregation’s hymnbook. Paul teaches us to commit everything we do or say to Jesus and give God thanks for all he has given us.

Psalm 62:1, 2 – “Truly my soul silently waits for God; from Him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.” Having been saved by faith in Christ, we express our love and gratitude through devotion to Him. Regular Bible study and prayer is an integral part of our daily lives. In addition, our commitment to the Lord will be revealed through a passion to obey, a spirit of humility, and a servant’s heart.

On this TGIF day I’d like to share a very simple scripture I feel strongly about – King David was a musician for the LORD back in his day.  Psalm 147:1 – “Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant and praise is beautiful.” Amen and blessings for a lovely weekend from Caroline and I.

1 Timothy 6: 6-9: “Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.” Drown means literally ‘drag to the bottom.’ Destruction and perdition are synonymous with ruin and irretrievable loss. This loss may be experienced in this life or it may be experienced in the afterlife if material desires lead a person away from Christ.

Psalm 37:7,8 – “Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret – it only causes harm.” The danger of impatience is that we might miss the Lord’s perfect plan and His blessing. Only when we trust our Father’s will and timing can we rest peacefully.
