Paul offers some excellent wisdom in Ephesians 4: 31, 32 – “Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, even as God is Christ forgave you.” Caroline and I wish our friends a peaceful weekend. God Bless!

Forgiveness..our God is merciful as King David points out in Psalm 130:3, 4 – ” If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O LORD, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared.” God does not “keep track” of our sins – as an accountant would. However, the grace of God’s forgiveness should not be taken lightly. The truly forgiven sinner realizes the magnitude of God’s grace, remains grateful for Jesus’ sacrifice for sins, and lives in awe of God.

Jude offers some up-building words in Jude 20: “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”

King David sings in Psalm 101:1,2 – “I will sing of mercy and justice; to You , O LORD, I will sing praises. I will behave wisely in a perfect way. Oh, when will you come to me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.”

After Jesus death and return he tells the eleven disciples of the Great Commission in Mark 16: 15, 16 – And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” So, believe in Christ and be saved.

Titus 3: 4-6: “But when the kindness and the love of God our savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our savior.”
Plainly spoken, it is solely on the basis of God’s mercy that we are delivered from the penalty of sin. Caroline and I wish you all a fabulous weekend – thanks for sharing the Word with us!

Jesus makes the choice for eternal life very clear in John 3:18 – “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” It is a clear choice on our part as we exercise our free will. To believe in Christ is to receive life and avoid judgment. A person who does not believe in Christ not only misses life, but is condemned already.
