Remember what the Prophet Jeremiah was told by the Creator in Jeremiah 29: 11-13: “For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. Ecclesiastes 5: 4,5 – “When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it. For He has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you have vowed- Better not to vow than to vow and not pay.”

1 John 2: 3,4,5 – “Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, ‘I know Him,’ and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.” My friends, disobedience shows a lack of personal knowledge of Christ. To claim to know Christ while disobeying His Word is to lie.

Jesus is talking with His disciples when he states in Luke 9: 25, 26 – “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s and of the holy angels.” So my friends, even if we lose our lives for Jesus’ sake, that investment will produce returns for all eternity.

King David made it easy to understand the workings of the LORD in Psalm 18: 20, 21 – “The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.”

2 Timothy 1:7 – “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Brothers and Sisters The Holy Spirit is the One who gives us spiritual gifts and empowers us to use them. God’s spirit does not impart fear or cowardice, but power, love and a sound mind. TGIF!

After Jesus had risen from the dead, he spoke to His disciples in Mark 16: 15, 16 – “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.”

1 Thessalonians 4: 13, 14: “But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.”
