AwAreness: The door to eternal salvation is closing. Are you in or out?

If you haven’t figured it out yet, we are in the End Times.  Jesus Christ is coming back…very soon.  He makes it clear through God’s written word, the bible, that there will come a time in the history of man when the door will be closed.  That door is Jesus himself as He states in John 10:7 – Then Jesus said to them again,”Most assuredly I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.”   He is the Shepherd, we are His sheep.  He is the judge of all men, we are the judged.  In Matthew 25: 31 & 32 Jesus says: “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.  All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.”   Jesus lays down the basic truth we need to ponder and act on in Matthew 1o: 32, 33 – “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will confess before My Father who is in heaven.  But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.”  I don’t know about you, but I believe Jesus Christ came in the flesh and I accept Him as my Lord and Savior.  If you are led to do the same – I’m glad to discuss it with you.  Feel free to respond or follow through on your own – just do it!  It means everlasting life when that chance is quickly slipping away.

AwAreness: What road are you on and where does it lead?

Posted in Gypsy Carns on January 25, 2010 by Gypsy Carns

Whether we know it or not, we are on a “road.”  The road is – the journey we call life.  Where are you going?  I have been on many roads in my 60 years on this earth.  I have been down dead end roads that led to depression, poverty and lack of self respect.  That is the road that most of the world follows in search of fame, money, and personal pleasure.  I got off that road in 1995 to follow a narrow path, one which is harder to stay on and easier to veer from right to left.  That road was when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.  Isaiah 53:6 puts it this way: “All we like sheep have gone astray; we  have turned, every one, to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”  Also in 1Peter 2:25 the apostle Peter states: “For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.”  That Shepherd is Yeshua Messiah or Jesus Christ.  He can help us stay on that narrow road, give us the strength to overcome the temptations to get off the path.  Kind of like playing golf – if you can stay in the fairway – you have a better chance of making par.  If you are interested in this, please comment and I will be glad to discuss it further;  or if you would rather email me personally – do it!  gypsycarns@comcast.net
